광주 – 2016 Summer Vacation

Sorry about the lack of updates this week. I learned last Wednesday night that our summer vacation was starting at the end of the week (07/22). Which didn’t leave me much time to make plans, buy plane tickets, and throw a vacation together.

So I let the vacation come to me. And by “come to me” I mean hop on a bus every morning and travel to various parts of Korea. (Many previously unexplored, or just not explored well.) I’d leave super early in the morning (to make the most of each day), and return late (natch). Leaving me exhausted on Saturday night going through pictures and typing this out.

I also failed at learning all the vocabulary I learned last Sunday. A oversight that I’m feeling bad about. But not too bad, or else I obviously would’ve made the time to make all the flashcards needed to learn them.

So while I was able to do my daily listening exercises, as well as reviewing tons of earlier vocabulary words, I still wasn’t able to master all of the new words. Luckily most of the teachers were absent last week too, so dodging the quiz bullet shouldn’t be too tough as I won’t have the words I didn’t study written in my little vocabulary notebook; meaning no one will know of their existence except for me.

A secret I’ll shamefully take to the grave with me.
